VertaPlex HV high viscosity bone cement from Stryker.
As a leading manufacturer of bone cement, Stryker helps set the industry standard with a range of bone cements addressing specific viscosity and working time preferences for the treatment of vertebral compression fractures.
VertaPlex HV reaches a thick viscosity as soon as it’s mixed so there’s no waiting. It maintains its viscous state for an average of over 18 minutes and it’s increased viscosity also contributes to improved visibility and control.
Other benefits include a short mixing time and fast set time. VertaPlex HV also has a lower creep rate which significantly helps to reduce leakage risks. And it contains 30% barium sulfate, giving great visibility.
VertaPlex HV is 1 of 3 bone cements offered by Stryker to satisfy physician cement preferences and individual patient need. This graph shows the performance data for each. The viscosity and working times for Stryker bone cements provide a controlled, demonstratively more even fill than that of other available cements.
VertaPlex HV is engineered to optimize mix, work and set times. It provides immediate and constant high viscosity for up to 18 minutes. It interdigitates throughout the trabecular structure. And it sets in approximely 10.2 minutes at 37 degrees Celcius.
